What sort of strategy is it to use an athletic term to describe "services" not related to sports athleticism? Is there a background in one of the dismal "sciences" here (psychology)? The attributes ascribed to women are frequently important to MEN in their life's efforts, and those she assigned to men are commonly sought by women. So, the cult of invented sex differences is on display here. The allusions made to skirts are pure, senseless Western stereotypes. How little women wear them several generations after factory work in WW II finally freed women to wear pants. Chicago had to rescind an ordinance forbidding women to wear pants (NY Times 1-21-1943 p. 24) Meantime at Greek Orthodox churches all over the USA, adolescent boys appear at annual events wearing SKIRTS, the MALE military costume of their homeland. I bet that fashion selfish women would call them "cross-dressed," but then they're committing a cultural genocide! Too bad allegedly cerebral persons can't differentiate the innate from the arbitrary. The bra is female, the skirt is NEUTRAL. How few realize that. I see MANY female motorists much more aggressive than men and driving quite dangerously. As for women becoming entrepreneurs, good luck, in a "monetary" system built on severely decayed synthetic currency.

I do believe that many women have come to the realization that they can be rewarded for their work and level of competency, by becoming entrepeneurs. Women have come a long way in the corporate world, but it's still a man's world. While these strategies could be successful in recruiting bright and capable women, it still requires overcoming the male ego to make it to the top.

Great post Evelyn. I think a lot of Women need to read this because we really should not 'men in skirts,' however, there are a lot of Women who seek the opportunity to be ;-)

I'd also like to see some of the recommendations listed, happen ~ especially these two:

1. Allowing women executives with primary parental responsibilities more time to prove themselves worthy of a promotion.
2. Taking a close look at talent management systems for signs of gender stereotyping

Having these [parental responsibility] qualities does not represent 'weakness' as a matter of fact, IMO, it represents 'wholeness'. And gender stereotyping? Well that's another whole topic in itself. That definitely [figuratively speaking] needs the crack of a whip! ;-)
