Meet Evelyn

I‘m a late bloomer, a tad on the stubborn side – one of my monikers is: “You’re not the boss of me” (I even have a sign courtesy of a friend of mine). I find my bliss in all the everyday little things that I am exceedingly grateful for, and I love to laugh, but tell the lamest jokes (just ask my kids). I’m also a published author and poet, currently working on a book about midlife transitions faced by women 40 and older.

I’ve never taken a linear path, but it’s a path that’s worked just right for me. I’m an entrepreneur now at midlife and as Founder & CEO of  my coaching practice, I specialize in helping high-level women executives who want to achieve a more sacred kind of success. For these women, the desire to play a bigger game requires a strong profit motive, but making money is no longer the goal. The goal is a search for significance, a journey to uncover the wealth of the self, a rite of passage to their highest purpose and to a life that is as unique as their fingerprint.

After 20 successful years in the corporate and non-profit world, I experienced my own turning point. Today I guide women through their unique turning points and help them cultivate extraordinary lives of passion and purpose in midlife and beyond. I spent those 20 years working as a leader in fund-raising, sales, marketing, management, and operations. Over time I came to the realization that I was naturally coaching the people around me in every experience I had, and gained my coaching certifications in order to do the work I feel most called to do.

I received my B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University, where I graduated with a 3.99 cumulative GPA. I am a Certified Retirement Coach, having received my training through Retirement Options, Inc., the leader in retirement coach training with a worldwide network of over 600 professionals serving individual, couple and group clients. In addition, I am a Certified ReCareer Coach, an assessment driven coaching system that is the first of its kind in the coaching profession to address the new population of career changers and career extenders created by the new economy.

I am the author of a forthcoming book on women navigating in and through midlife, and have provided expert commentary to ForbesWoman,  Expert Insights, as well as other magazines and media outlets that focus on women executives in midlife.

Grandma Moses began painting in her late 70s, Laura Ingalls Wilder published the first of eight volumes of the Little House series at 65, and Marjory Stoneman Douglas began her environmental crusade for the protection of the Everglades at the age of 79. As George Eliot said: “It’s never too late to be who you might have been.”
